Panel Discussion on Visions of the Future with AI as Seen in Harari’s Nexus

The event took place on Saturday, 17 May 2025 at Karl der Grosse, Zurich.
Hosted by the MEEET-Lab and the URPP Digital Religion(s), this panel discussion examined the societal implications of artificial intelligence, taking inspiration from Yuval Noah Harari’s recent book Nexus.
The panel featured Prof. Dr. Beth Singler, Prof. Dr. Dirk Helbing, and Prof. Dr. Thomas Schlag, and was moderated by Dr. Gernot Meier. Together, they explored questions around how AI might shape the future of society, asking who will benefit from these developments and who risks being excluded.
