Susanne Tönsmann is an advisor for funding instruments at the University of St.Gallen and former Managing Director of the Participatory Science Academy of the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, Switzerland.

Her main topics are participation, citizenship and citizen science. Working for the Participatory Science Academy allowed her to combine her interest in conditions for good participation and cooperation in society and the possibilities of a university to positively shape society.
