Die hybride MEEET-Lab-Konferenz AI Hopes, Fears, and Realities: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue findet am 1.–2. Juli 2025 an der Universität Zürich sowie online statt. Die Veranstaltung widmet sich dem transformativen Potenzial von KI, ihren ethischen Herausforderungen und ihren Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft sowie auf das Verständnis von Intelligenz, Bewusstsein und menschlicher Existenz.
Fachpersonen aus der Technologiebranche und Wissenschaftler:innen aus verschiedenen Feldern, darunter Theologie und Religionswissenschaften, Anthropologie, Linguistik, Philosophie und Ethik und verwandten Forschungsfeldern, sind eingeladen, zur Diskussion beizutragen.
Der Call for Papers lädt dazu ein, Beiträge einzureichen, die KI aus verschiedenen disziplinären Perspektiven beleuchten und empirische Erkenntnisse mit theoretischen Reflexionen verbinden.

The hybrid MEEET-Lab conference AI Hopes, Fears, and Realities: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue will take place on 1–2 July 2025 at the University of Zurich, and online. This event will explore the transformative potential of AI, its ethical challenges, and its impact on society, as well as its implications for the understanding of intelligence, consciousness, and human existence.
Technologists and scholars from diverse fields, including theology and religious studies, anthropology, linguistics, philosophy, and ethics, are invited to contribute to the discussion.
The Call for Papers is now open, welcoming contributions that examine AI from various disciplinary perspectives and connect empirical findings with broader theoretical reflections.
